The main purpose of the TSS visa is to address skills shortages in the Australian labor market by allowing employers to fill positions that cannot be filled by qualified and skilled Australian workers.
Currently, the TSS (482) visa is the most common route for companies to sponsor overseas employees. However, under Australia's new migration strategy announced in December 2023, the TSS visa is expected to be replaced by the upcoming Skills in Demand Visa.
